OPEN POSITION: WORKSHOP TRAINER

ABOUT PROFEDS

Since 2008, ProFeds has delivered in-person retirement training to federal employees, and we are committed to providing great support to our nationwide network of the financial professionals who serve them.  Our team continues to expand to accommodate the ever-growing demand for retirement training sessions and the needs of federal employees preparing to retire from government service. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Workshop Trainer role is primarily responsible for delivering in-person, full-day FedImpact Retirement Workshops to federal employees throughout the country.  We are only looking for “batteries-included” team players who are motivated by a sincere desire to grow, learn and serve this deserving audience.  Our Workshop Trainers serve as the front line for delivering our candid, no-nonsense message about properly preparing to retire.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver retirement workshops to federal employee audiences (typically, 30-45 people)
• Significant travel required, but trainers set their calendar of availability to align with their family/personal obligations before workshops are assigned

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

• Federal employee benefits background is highly-desirable
• Financial services experience (licensed agent, customer service, etc.) is ideal
• Polished verbal communication skills are essential to explain complex benefits and engage the audience through a variety of training techniques

TRAINER SUPPORT 

• All workshops are scheduled for the Trainer based on their stated availability
• All travel for the Trainer is arranged by our Workshop Support team

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• This is a W-2 position with a base salary and additional pay for each workshop delivered
• Tax-free meal per diem is paid for each day of travel
• The Trainer will be issued a company credit card for all approved expenses
• Pay for this position can be increased commensurate with current experience level and initial training required to perform job functions
• Benefits package includes 401(k) with match and various insurance plans (health, life, dental, vision, and disability).
